Day Support Options

A group based day program located in Groton, CT.

Designed to identify, enhance, and maintain the strengths and assets of our enrolled individuals with a parallel focus of encouraging health and wellbeing through an array of daily activities and experiences.

Focused on independence and personal growth within the individuals community.

This is accomplished through:

• Communication
• Social Interaction
• Community & On-Site Volunteering
• Community Outings
• ADL Skill Building
• Job Skill Development & Implementation
• Sensory Activities

We offer 1:1 and group staffing which allows individuals to move toward their highest level of independence.

Group Supported Employment (GSE) is designed with the participants in mind.

This service is offered for peers to work in the community with the support of an onsite job coach. The idea of this program is to :

• Prepare individuals for competitive employment
• Identify strengths and preferences
• Complete a career assessment
• Plan for the future
• Learn in a group setting
• Learn to manager finances
• Encourage independence

Individualized Supported Employment is centered around assisting an individual in finding gainful employment with real wages.

This program is more independent than the Group Supported Employment model and is not operated in a group setting.

Individualized Support Employment assists with:

• Resume building
• Career exploration
• Application submissions
• Ongoing support and supervision

Customized Employment (CE) is an alternative to the group or individualized employment services. This program allows the individual to work with our agencies certified Customized Employment Manager. This manager is dedicated to creating relationships with local employers who can build positions to fit the needs and interests of the individual.

The CE process is comprised of three components for success:

• Job Discovery
• Job Development
• Negotiation & Placement
• Post-Employment Supports

This is a new and exciting opportunity for individuals to find a career path that is right for them!

Senior Supports are provided for older individuals or individuals whose needs closely resemble those of a more senior aged person who is looking to connect with a population that closely resembles their life circumstances.

Senior Supports may occur in any community setting but originates from the individual’s home.

This program is highly engaging and offers access to our newly designed senior center in Groton, CT.

Some of the activities and offerings in this program include:

• Group outings to places such as; Mystic Aquarium, movies, local activities, and other fun events
• Interactive crafts
• Group games
• Fun Physical Activities such as yoga and dance parties

This program is designed with the participants in mind. We work tirelessly to ensure that the activities and events that are planned are done with input from those who are participating.
